We shall start with the science. Allow me to introduce you to the eerie world of Quantum Mechanics.

Quantum mechanics is the branch of physics relating to the very small. It has led to some very strange conclusions about the physical world. When we get down to the scale of atoms and electrons, many of the equations obtained from classical mechanics, i.e Newtonian Physics, cease to be useful. It is the body of scientific laws that describe the "wacky" behaviour of photons, electrons and the other particles that make up the Universe.

If quantum mechanics hasn't profoundly shocked you, you haven't understood it yet. Everything we call real is made up of things that can no be regarded as real - Niels Bohr

everything is energy

Energy Systems

Quantum physicists discovered that physical atoms are made up of vortices of energy that are constantly spinning and vibrating, each one radiating its own unique energy signature. If you observed the composition of an atom with a microscope you would see a small, invisible tornado-like vortex, with a number of infinitely small energy vortices called quarks and photons. These are what make up the structure of the atom. As you focused in closer and closer on the structure of the atom, you would see nothing, you would observe a physical void. The atom has no physical structure, we have no physical structure, and physical things really don’t have any physical structure. Atoms are made out of invisible energy, not tangible matter!

The size of an atom is governed by the average location of its electrons: how much space there is between the nucleus and the atom’s amorphous outer shell.

Nuclei are around 100,000 times smaller than the atoms they’re housed in. If the nucleus were the size of a peanut, the atom would be about the size of a baseball stadium. If we lost all the dead space inside our atoms, we would each be able to fit into a particle of dust, and the entire human species would fit into the volume of a sugar cube. (source)

“Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter.” ~ Albert Einstein

Reality is stranger than we think. It’s stranger than most people can think. And the reality is that everything is energy and energy is everything.
